Payarus Oloxion

Since leaving Silverstone, Payarus has stumbled into an unexpected connection with Saeval.  While in Hartfell, he visted the Verdant Bastion and met a priest of Saeval named Lyric who told him the story of Sylvaris Greensong, a legendary bard and champion of Savael.  It wasn't long after this meeting that the Silverstone Six traveled to Theladris in the Ashen Fields - and found the famous bard's most prized possessions.

In Theladris, Payarus encountered a vampire named Orion Etherforge that played a mournful tune on a violin and wore green leather armor wreathed in ornamental ivy.  These items were each part of Greensong's Regalia - the legendary violin Heartstring, as well as his armor Ivy and Envy.  

The vampire's song made an impact on Payarus, transporting him in memory back to the loss of Silverstone and the death of his mentor Arlo Stone.  After fighting the vampire, he immediately picked up Heartstring.  Despite having no training in music, he found that he had an immediate affinity with the instrument.  Since then he has been growing his abilities as a bard, trying to master the violin and discover its secrets. 

• Heartstring is a dancing violin - it can play independently for a time once the wielder starts playing it, as long as they keep their focus.  It is enable to hinder enemies and bolster the courage of allies.  Based on the legends, Payarus believes it has more potential he has yet to unlock.

• Ivy and Envy is a temperamental suit of armor.  Each day the armor can be in a state of grace or jealousy, and reacts to the accomplishments of allies in kind.  This armor also allows him to use his bardic abilities to create rampant growths of vines, spikes, and plants.
