Overview
A few days northeast of Silverstone hidden deep into the mountains is Lotheim, the ancestral home of Clan Lodar. The structure is built into a the cliffside near a deep ravine. It is a mostly closed off and isolated tribe of dwarves. They have a distant but polite relationship with Silverstone, as both groups benefit form some mutual trade.
They are known to follow what is simply called "The Old Ways" - a practice that connects with the natural world. They are adept wielders of natural magic that control stone and snow. The predominant faiths worship of Nereus and Medius, though both divine and arcane magic play small roles in their society.
Their craftsmen are druids known as Worldspeakers, such as "Stonespeaker" or "Ironspeaker." They forge items using druidic magic that asks the materials to bend to the casters will, rather than using barbaric tools like forges and hammers. Similarly they view the people of Silverstone as a bit primitive, using pickaxes to mine the stone rather than learning to talk to it.
Locations
Scar of Karnath
The Darkness Below
An enormous rift that stretches for miles, and Lotheim is built into the cliffside in one of the shallower sections on the northern end of this dark, icy ravine.
Even the denizens of Lotheim aren't quite sure what a "Karnath" is, except that myth suggests this was created by some massive entity a long time ago. Other scholars believe it was simply caused by erosion over millenia, and suspect the name can be traced back to an overzealous bard.
Arak-Nohr
Icy Ruins
No one's quite sure the origin to this structure far to the north known only as Arak-Nohr, rumored to be some sort of ancient palace or temple.
The Church of Nereus has expressed interest in purchasing artifacts that are found within, suspecting there may be some sort of connection given the unusual location; few things are built this far north into the tundra.
Would-be adventurers are often detered from even approaching this ruin, as it is found deep within the territory of the Frostrend Tribe.

Organizations
Dol'Nar / Avalanche
Wardens of the Tundra
The main army of Lohdar isn't a massive fighting force, but rather small squads of highly trained rangers known collectively as, The Dol'nar, which translates to common simply as "Avalanche."
They act in a wide set of roles serving as scouts, hunters, and guardians. They know the immediate areas around Lotheim extremely well, and are famous for laying traps and ambushes.
Their name has dual meanings. First, they famously like to ambush from higher ground and roll down on foes like an avalanche. Yet they also have been known to literally trigger avalanches in order to disrupt larger forces that have moved toward Lotheim in the city's past.
Worldspeakers
Keepers of the Old Ways
An order of druids who specialize in communicating with different parts of nature. They serve as the main crafters and builders for Clan Lohdar. They are divided into four main orders:
Stonespeakers - Practice magic related to stone, acting as both miners and builders.
Ironspeakers - Practice magic related to metal, acting as the main craftsmen for Lotheim.
Frostspeakers - Practice magic relating to both cold and heat, often accompanying Avalanche squads.
Lifespeakers - Practice magic related to living creatures and plants, providing food and healing.
Most druids focus on a single area of the land, honing their craft over decades. A few can demonstrate mastery in two or more orders. The rare talents who can pass the trials to demonstrate prowess in all four orders are simply known as Worldspeakers, and the title comes with enormous honor and prestige.
