It is never too late to start anew; the only permanent thing in life is the inevitability of change.
Life and death are but two facets of the same cycle.
Change is growth. Growth is life. The only true death is live a life devoid of change.

Description
Cosmology and Culture
Ydar is known to have once been the lover of Nereus, who is quite nearly her opposite. They share the aspect of time, but hold opposite ideologies regarding it. This conflict has spread to their followers, as the two orders are often at odds with one another. In the Whispering Vale there hasn't been open violence between the two sects, but they have a rivalry that extends across faith and politics.
Ydar is sometimes considered a bit of a rogue deity within the Whispering Vale and has declined in popularity over recent decades. Despite their acceptance of cycles of destruction and rebirth, most followers of Ydar are peaceful. The Church of Ydar is loosely organized, consisting of sects across the Vale, the largest group of mainstream followers being split between Solstice and Hartfell. Followers of Ydar hold the Cinderfall Forest to be a holy site, though only the most fervent followers will reside in those lands due to the danger.
Resurrection and Remnants
Followers of Ydar have found themselves at odds with the culture of the Vale, especially in Solstice, due to their opposition to Remnants. Ydar teaches that there is nothing more disrespectful to the cycle of life and death than trying to preserve life past its time. Existing in a state of undeath is anathema to Ydarites.
Their objection has mostly been political in the form of nonviolent protests and petitioning against legalization of Remnants. Two acts of extreme protest have happened in the last few years: a group of three priests who self-immolated in the center of the temple district, and a lone extremists who burned down a transport carrying bodies to deliver to the Soulwardens. The latter has caused significant backlash, and many have fled Solstice for Hartfell fearing their faith may be outlawed.
It's rumored that the Church of Ydar have tried to secure caches of Soulspark to prevent its use for creating Remnants, and that some followers still engage in now-illegal resurrection magic.

Rebirth Domain
Domain Spells
Cycle of Rebirth
At 1st level, you gain the ability to manipulate the line between life and death. When you would normally roll one or more dice to restore hit points with a spell to a creature at 0 hit points, you instead use the highest number possible for each die.
In addition, when you would cast a spell that consumes a certain luminance of Chroma to restore a creature to life, you choose to suffer one or more points of exhaustion. For each point of exhaustion you take, reduce the luminance cost by one. You may do this a number of times per day equal to your proficiency modifier. This ability cannot be used to replace required fists of a specific type of Chroma.
Awakening Touch
Starting at 2nd level, you can use your Channel Divinity to touch a dying creature. It regains hit points equal to five times your cleric level, and removes one level of exhaustion.
Flickering Flame
At 6th level, as your magic starts to flicker and wane, you can fuel it with your own inner fire. Whenever you cast a spell that deals fire damage or restores hit points, you may choose to reroll as many dice as you wish, taking the second result. For each die you reroll in this manner, you take two points of damage that cannot be reduced in any way.
Potent Spellcasting
Starting at 8th level, you add your Wisdom modifier to the damage you deal with any cleric cantrip.
Blazing Revival
At 17th level, when you are reduced to 0 hit points and thereby fall unconscious, you then regain half your hit points and immediately rise to your feet. You explode into a burst of flame, dealing 3d10 fire damage in a 30 foot radius. Allies in the area are not damaged, but are instead healed for the same amount.
Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.
