Guardians of Silverstone

The weather in the valley makes farming difficult, and the lands near Silverstone lack much fertile soil.  As a result, most of the food supply in the town comes from hunting, gathering, and fishing. 

One of the primary job of Silverstone's scouts is to help in the defense against embers by helping maintain and coordinate the canal system to keep water flowing in across areas where embers seem to be moving, as well as redirect water to allow approaching caravans to safely enter the town.

Tavern and Inn

Jack came to town a decade and a half ago with a dream and a lot of coin.  And with enough coin, your dreams can come true.  He established this tavern with a lot of local labor and drove the previous (and far less amazing) tavern out of business.  The food is hot, the beer is cold, and there's always a fire going at the Dusty Pickaxe.

By nature it mostly serves locals who come to complain about just about everything in their lives.  But recently there has also been an uptick in visitors to the town from Solstice, which seems to have Jack more on edge than you'd expect an innkeeper to be.

Stoneflow
The Temple of Medius

Stoneflow is the oldest structure in Silverstone and predates the town itself.  It's carved into the rock itself, centering the structure on a waterfall that is channeled throughout the temple.  While the entryway is an ornately built structure, the majority of the complex resembles a natural cavern.

The temple is administered by Dolan Stone, who holds sermons weekly.  He also organizes prayers and rituals during holidays, births, and deaths in the town.  While he teaches the doctrine of Medius, he provides counseling and spiritual services to members of the town who follow most other religions.

Blacksmith Shop

Helga is an incredibly talented smith who tends to work in two metals:  forging steel tools for the town, and fine works of silver craftsmanship for export.  She's less interested in sales than in her work, and has been known to give excellent deals to loyal customers who refrain from small talk and haggling.
